iVacation Co., Ltd. (the "Company") understands the importance of protecting customer's personal information, and will observe the Act on the Protection of Personal Information (the "Act") and endeavor to handle and protect personal information in an appropriate manner in accordance with this Privacy Policy (the "Privacy Policy").

1.DEFINITION

In the Privacy Policy, personal information shall mean "personal information" defined in paragraph 1 of Article 2 of the Act, i.e. the information regarding a living individual which can identify a specific individual by name, date of birth or other description contained in such information (including information which may be easily referred to other information and will thereby enable identification of a specific individual).

2.PURPOSE OF USE

The Company shall use customers' personal information for the following purposes:

  • Provision of Wanderpass service;
  • Notifications and responses to customer inquiries, with respect to Wanderpass service;
  • Announcement regarding the Company's products or services, etc.;
  • Sending gifts to customers, issuing newsletters, etc.;
  • Notifications of customer's application information to companies which provide services applied by customers (provided that the Company notifies customers before the Company notifies the information to the companies.);
  • Dealing with breach of the Company's terms of use, policy, etc. (the "Terms"), with respect to Wanderpass service;
  • Notifications of amendment to the Terms of Wanderpass service;
  • Customizing information of websites, services, and advertising delivery, etc. of the Company according to customers' age, jobs, sex, interests, and tastes, etc.;
  • Improvement of the Company's service and development of new service, etc.;
  • Creation of statistics data which is processed so that no particular individuals shall be identified, in connection with the Company's service; or
  • other purposes related to the above purposes.

3.CHANGE OF PURPOSE OF USE

The Company may change the purpose of use of personal information to the extent that the purpose of use after the change is reasonably deemed duly related to the original purpose of use. When the purpose of use has been changed, the Company shall notify the customer of, or publicly announce the purpose of use after the change.

4.RESTRICTION ON USE

The Company shall not use personal information, without the consent of the relevant customers, beyond the scope necessary for the achievement of the purpose of use, unless permitted by the Act or other laws or regulations; provided, however, that this provision shall not apply if:

  • the use of personal information is based on laws and regulations;
  • the use of personal information is necessary for the protection of the life, body or property of an individual and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the relevant customers;
  • the use of personal information is specially necessary for improving public health or promoting the sound growth of children and it is difficult to obtain the consent of the relevant customers; or
  • the use of personal information is necessary for cooperating with a national government, a local government, or a person or entity entrusted thereby in executing the affairs prescribed by laws and regulations and acquisition of the consent of the relevant customers may impede the execution of the affairs concerned.

5.PROPER ACQUISITION

The Company shall acquire personal information by a proper means, and shall not acquire it by a deception or other wrongful means.

6.SECURITY CONTROL

The Company shall sufficiently and appropriately supervise the Company's employee to ensure the security control of personal information against the risk of loss, destruction, alteration or leakage. When the Company entrusts a third party with the handling of personal information in whole or in part, the Company shall sufficiently and appropriately supervise the third party to ensure the security control of personal information.

7.Use of Usage History and Personal Health Record

  • The User hereby agrees that the Company provides the Service based on route information, location information and other information of the User's portable terminals due to the nature of the Service.
  • The User hereby agrees that the Company may use the User's usage history (including without limitation, Registration Information, route information, location information, posted information, inquiry information) after making the usage history impossible to identify and specify the person.
  • The Company may use Cookies or other similar technologies for grasp of the usage status of the Service and improvement of the Service. The advertising companies which are alliance partners of the Company may obtain Cookies on the User's browsers instead of the Company.
  • Your personal health, mention and/or fitness data ("PHR Data") through the HealthKit APIs or the Motion & Fitness APIs will be stored only on your device for letting you know your performance.
    • We will not share your PHR Data with anyone.
    • We will not sell your PHR Data to advertising platforms, data brokers or information resellers.
    • We will not use Your PHR Data for advertising or similar services.

8.PROVISION TO A THIRD PARTY

The Company shall not provide personal information to a third party without the prior consent of the relevant customers, unless the disclosure is permitted by the Act or other laws or regulations; provided, however, that the following cases shall not be regarded as the provision to a third party:

  • Cases where the Company entrusts a third party with the handling of personal information within the scope necessary for the achievement of the purpose of use;
  • Cases where personal information is provided as a result of the succession of business in a merger or otherwise; or
  • Cases where personal information is used jointly with others in accordance with the provisions of the Act.

9.DISCLOSURE

In cases where the Company is requested by a customer to disclose the personal information under the Act, the Company shall, after confirming that the request is made by the principal, disclose the personal information to the customer without delay (in cases where the Company does not have such personal information, the Company shall notify the customer to that effect); provided, however, that this provision shall not apply to cases where the Company is not obliged to disclose such personal information under the Act or other laws or regulations.

10.CORRECTION, ETC.

In cases where the Company is requested by a customer to correct, add or delete the personal information under the Act on the ground that such personal information is contrary to the fact, the Company shall, after confirming that the request is made by the principal, make a necessary investigation without delay within the scope necessary for the achievement of the purpose of use, and on the basis of the result, correct, add or delete the personal information and notify the customer to that effect (in cases where the Company decides not to make such correction, addition or deletion, the Company shall notify the customer to that effect); provided, however, that this provision shall not apply to cases in which the Company is not obliged to make such correction, addition or deletion under the Act or other laws or regulations.

11.DISCONTINUANCE OF THE USE, ETC.

In cases where the Company is (i) requested by a customer to discontinue using or to erase the personal information under the Act on the ground that such personal information is being handled beyond the purpose of use publicly announced in advance or has been acquired by a deception or other wrongful means, or (ii) requested by a customer to discontinue providing the personal information under the Act on the ground that such personal information is provided to a third party without the customer's consent, and where it is found that the request has a reason, the Company shall, after confirming that the request is made by the principal, discontinue the use of or erase the personal information, or discontinue the provision of the personal information, without delay and shall notify the customer to that effect; provided, however, that this provision shall not apply to cases in which the Company is not obliged to make such discontinuance of use or erasure, or discontinuance of provision, under the Act or other laws or regulations.

12.USE OF COOKIES AND OTHER TECHNOLOGIES

Cookies or similar technologies may be used in the Company's service. Such technologies help the Company to recognize the status of use of the Company's service, etc. and contribute improvement of the service. When a user intends to disable cookies, the user may disable cookies by changing the web browser's settings. Please note that when cookies are disabled, a part of the service may be unavailable. Cookies Policy

1.CONSENT OF CUSTOMERS

Customers hereby consent that cookies are used in accordance with this Cookies Policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy") by using services, applications (including, without limitation, the service and the application of "Wanderpass" ) or websites of the Company (hereinafter collectively referred to as the "Service etc."), or receiving e-mails from the Company.

2.PURPOSE OF THE POLICY

The Policy shall define how the Company and third parties specified by the Company use cookies in cases where customers use the Service etc. The Policy is part of the Company's Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Privacy Policy"), and applies along with the Privacy Policy. The Privacy Policy shall define obtainment, usage, treatment of personal information obtained by the Company in connection with customers. Please read the Policy and the Privacy Policy.

3.ABOUT COOKIES

Cookies are identifiers, usually made up of texts or codes. Cookies are usually stored on customers' devices or in customers' web browsers and they send certain information back to the party who sent the cookies. When the Company says cookies, the Company is actually referring to a broader range of technologies than just cookies (including web beacons, clear gifs, pixels and other similar technologies). When the Company says "cookies", the Company means cookies that are sent by the Company. When the Company says third-party cookies, the Company means cookies that are sent by third parties.

4.HOW COOKIES ARE USED

Cookies are used in order to understand how applications and websites work and to optimize online and mobile operation. Cookies allow the party who send the cookies to analyze a website's or mobile application's performance, to specify anonymous users, to recognize the interests of the anonymous users, to recognize visit histories of the users, and to deliver personalized advertisements.

Operationally Necessary cookies are essential for the operation of the Service etc. Operationally Necessary cookies make it possible for customers to browse and use the Service etc. If customers disable Operationally Necessary cookies, the Service etc. will not function correctly.

Performance cookies gather information about how visitors use the Service etc. and monitor performance of the Service etc. For example, Performance cookies tell the Company which pages are popular, monitor traffic to the Service etc. and store anonymous analytic information. Performance cookies can also be used to identify and remedy operational problems with the Service etc.

c.Functionality

Functionality cookies are used to identify customers' interests and preferences. For example, Functionality cookies may use information, such as customers' location, to make sure that customers arrive at the pages of the Service etc. specialized for cities or regions where the customers are.

d.Advertising

  • The Company allows third parties to deliver personalized advertising contents on the Service etc. and on third party websites and applications. These third parties use cookies to understand customers' interests in the advertisements and contents delivered to customers, as well as to deliver customers with more relevant advertisements based on customers' activities on the Service etc. For example, third-party cookies could record information about whether customers have clicked on certain contents or advertisements on the Service etc. or other websites, or placed an item on the Service etc. in customers' shopping carts.
  • The Company does not have control over, or access to, third-party cookies for advertising or the information they contain. Third parties manage any information that they collect through cookies they place in accordance with their privacy policies.
  • Customers may disable the third-party cookies for personalized advertising. (However, even if customers disable these cookies, sometimes online advertisements are displayed.)

6.METHOD FOR DISABLING COOKIES

Customers may disable the placement of certain cookies by configuring customers' browsers settings or disabling directly with the party that operates and controls the cookies. Please confirm customers' browsers settings for further information.

7.COOKIES CONTAINED IN ELECTRONIC MAIL

The Company's e-mails contain cookies that track whether customers open the Company's e-mails and whether customers click any links within them. The cookies used in the Company' e-mails to monitor these behaviors are unique to each e-mail and are not stored on customers' computers or mobile devices.
